Waid's Threeboot Legion was the first Legion I ever read, which is why I
remain so attached. I did just recently read DnA's "Legion Lost",
which I absolutely loved, but that's just one story arc, I haven't read
any more of their stuff.

Journey Into Mystery under Gillen felt like a lost, great Vertigo series, which I mean as a compliment. I'm going to try it under Immonen, though, too - I absolutely loved her Patsy Walker: Hellcat series - but it's definitely not going to be as good.

I sort of disagree. I've always thought Marvel was so relentlessly 'branded' that they were unwilling to do anything daring, and anything daring that accidentally seeped in (New X-Men) was immediately stamped out so that we could have the 'hated and feared minority' thing back. Marvel has just always excelled in…

I genuinely love his first two Threeboot Legion books. Once Supergirl joined the cast it started to go downhill a little, but Waid's Legion will always be my Legion.

Fraction's Hawkeye is worth it for Aja's art and layouts, if nothing else. He proved he was one of (if not THE) best artists when it came to action in comics on Immortal Iron Fist, but he's really taken it to the next level with Hawkeye. Together with Fraction, they're really doing some unbelievably fantastic work.

Silk Spectre is also very good. Campy-but-fun story with gorgeous art. It's the only book that doesn't feel like it's trying to ape the tone and self-seriousness of Watchmen, so it almost manages to feel like its own thing.

It worked for The Invisibles.

What's the official Cinemark policy on hand jobs? I'd hate to think I cut a hole in the bottom of this popcorn tub just to musk-up some otherwise inferior bottom kernels.

Over at badassdigest, one of their reviewers shared a story about an old guy sitting behind him during a screening of SKYFALL who took it upon himself to just mumble everything that appeared on screen. "Aston Martin", "gun", etc…
