I was initially concerned about the decision to cover Sandman here, as… well… what HASN'T been said about the series already?  But you guys have been doing fantastic work, and I'm thrilling to revisit the series in full for the first time in almost 10 years.

I think you can still be a fan of Gaiman.  Nobody's perfect, and it's so easy to stereotype things you don't understand and have little experience with.  If nothing else, there are perilously few trans-characters gracing comics, even 25 years later.  Gaiman may have botched it - and may have revealed some prejudices

Because it's thorough, intelligent, and brutal.  It will make you think.  It will make you wonder why you believe what you believe.  It will expose you to some new ideas.

I was baffled that Lake of Fire wasn't on this list.  A fantastic, thorough, brutal documentary, it also made me think more about my position on the issue than almost anything else ever has.

I produce a lot of value on Friday afternoon!  Mostly job applications to anywhere that isn't here, though, so I guess it isn't actually a lot of value to my current employer.

Snyder has put American Vampire on hold until late 2013/early 2014 so he can focus on his New 52 output.

The Dark line is… decent.  It at least has some of the ambition the other lines lack.  There were some seriously flawed books - Swamp Thing, Milligan's JLD - and some books that were just okay - Lemire's JLD, Lemire's Frankenstein.

The Phantom Stranger is just Judas now, and he has been established as God's Event-Setting Plot Device - his #0 issue introduction was laughable at how transparent it was.
