"Good Intentions" and "Freezes Over" - and, to a lesser degree, even "Hard Time", though that one is damaged by some pretty uneven art - are stone-cold Hellblazer classics for me.  I think the character needed that complete and utter break from his norm, and Azzarello really brought an American flavor to the title

I actually think Lemire did improve JLD over Milligan's complete and utter mess, but it's still not good; it's just coherent.

I confess; it does give me some joy in the knowledge that there is now a Justice League member who has fucked a dog.  In my head, all the Vertigo adventures are still canon, but as John enters his 50s/60s, he's settled down a bit.

But then you hit your late 20s, where you're still living paycheck to paycheck in a failing job market with a shitty apartment competing with an entire generation of overeducated, underemployed people who are probably more qualified, more experienced, and more charismatic than you, but the only option is just to go

Now all we need is for @Horsefellow:disqus to return and the AV Club can get back to normal.

It was, in all seriousness, quite possibly the worst movie I saw in theaters this year.

Paths was my first Kubrick film ever (about, uh, three months ago) and I absolutely loved it. Don't know why I avoided him for so damn long.
