Haven't seen it, but I got it from the library yesterday.  Only Kubrick films I've ever seen before are Paths of Glory and The Killing, both of which I loved.  But tonight, there's a big-screen showing of 2001 I'm going to try and get to, and I've got Eyes Wide Shut to watch later in the week.

"Kindly Ones" is probably my favorite, but "Season of Mists" is where I really fell in love with the series.

I'm going through the Invisibles omnibus right now, and I have to agree.  It never gets truly atrocious, but it a lot of the chapters lack polish or any sophistication in their storytelling.  But then you get some fantastic guest-art, or an arc from someone great, and it makes you realize all the more how much better

Bedlam #1 had some iffy writing choices, though it was in general very good.  I think the art was superb, though.  Madder Red's costume design was fantastic - simple, memorable, and absolutely horrifying.

That'll be a tough time to make it, especially since I wouldn't normally get out of work until 8 PM and I'm in Buckhead.  Gonna try, though.

Also: seriously envious you got to go to the Archer show.  I found out about it too late and the tickets were sold out waaaaay in advance.

That… makes a lot of sense.  Though I honestly don't know if I can hold out in this job for another three months.  When I'm not fantasizing about quitting, I'm having nightmares about getting fired in another round of downsizing.

Indeed we probably have.  And if nothing else, we will almost certainly be seeing the same movie at the same theater in about six weeks!
