It's kind of amazing that episode aired at all. Imaging pitching an episode for a mid-afternoon children's show today where one of the protagonists gets gut shot and you can see the blood.

True. I participated in a game of 21 once that ended 44-42.
I have no idea why, but I'm actually mildly disappointed Judy Greer won't be doing all the songs. Even if she's terrible.
Jesus. It sounds like they took the Major Case Unit, and then just made everything shitty and removed any thought.
….Fuck. Me. Wow. Holy shit.
NBC's naked, raw desperation really is interesting to behold. This show seems like a grittier, "street" version of SVU, without the "ripped from the headlines" story-of-the-week or any of the actual nuance The Shield or many, many, many other great cop procedurals managed.
Well, this strikes me as the kind of show where somehow, cops will have to be corrupt IF THEY WANT TO GET THE JOB DONE and Internal Affairs will, yet again, be the villains who don't understand WHAT WE HAVE TO DO TO GET THE JOB DONE.
No way. Really?
I've always gotten a kick out of that kind of juxtaposition. By no means do I want superheroes to become boring low-risk procedural rip-offs where the stakes are "will we get our tax return in one time?!?" but hey, sometimes you can learn a shitload about characters and come to love them more thanks to a shitty trip…
It seems that there should be plenty of room for Marvel to do gigantic, big, sweeping "oh god the earth is going to kerplode again" stories alongside smaller, more intimate stories. I know that superheroes are always surrounded by spectacle and bombast, but yeah, sometimes it's nice to make them interact with the…
I used to LOVE PTI when it began. Loved it, really admired Wilbon.
Putting the player in a position of powerlessness, even briefly, is a pretty big step to take these days.
Gordon Freeman worked better for me, because he's presented to us as not far from just being us. Yes, he's an insanely smart theoretical physicist, but at the outset he's just a random schmuck like us having a very brain-eaty day at work. That allowed me to project on to him a bit. Same goes for Chell, who is just WAY…
Well good news, an upcoming 2014 Noam Murro film should get everyone up to speed.
Kudos, genuinely, for milling some satisfaction out of it. After watching a friend gamely sludge through a wall of bullet-sponge Spetznatz in BF4, I longed for those books written by people badly aping Tom Clancy.
The only Halo game I really, completely enjoyed from beginning to end.
I know that game gets a ton of slobbering over, but I found it to be a unbelievably welcome change of pace.
In terms of sheer infectious joy, I ended up very much liking "Happy" by Pharrell.
KAZAAM DOESN'T SHAKE HANDS
I have watched SEVERAL terrible movies she was in just because she was in them.
