Has anyone told Nick that the best way to remind people that the rich and the famous don't take themselves too seriously is NOT to make a show that's basically a 60-minute fellatio session about how awesome it is that you're not one of the plebs?

I have no idea how I found out about this show, but it was sometime around '88 or '89 when I was still a tyke, and it just blew every other cartoon around completely out of the water, and is still a raucously good use of 20 minutes.
Pocket sand!
Yeah, as the show neared its end, you could tell which episodes Mike had written as they got… well, they certainly wore their politics on their sleeve.
Absolutely loved this show. A shame that Mike Judge has apparently gone… well… see for yourself.
I finally sat down and read one of Marguerite Abouet's "Aya of Yop City" books. A ton of fun and, as the blurbs on the back cover say, a refreshing view of life completely at odds with the dominant media narrative about what life in Africa has been/is like.
It's so wonderful when Laura Knightley shows up.

I got to read most of "A Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA" at a bar where I lived last. I actually got a ton of questions about it from people because I spent so much time reading it with my mouth agape at some of the stories within that book.
Yes, yes, yes. We recently brought in a new intern at my job. I'm going to be 30 soon, she's barely 20. And it was fun and flirty for the first week and a half. Now I see the generational divide is a vast, yawning chasm.

The view of ever so much of Dreama Walker in the last scene with June and Mark in bed is not hateable.
Well, it was like 90% her being such a "gifted" actress.
Whoop, didn't see this thread before I posted. Well, in that case, honorable mentions to Inque from Batman Beyond (no I don't know either), and Jessie Bannon from The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest.
I'd like to say Heather Graham or Laura San Giacomo. But the earliest thing I can remember would be Eliza Maza from "Gargoyles". 11-year-old me was absolutely smitten with her.
Gotta admit i'm surprised Michael Bay didn't call her. More truth in advertising.
I was sad this show got canceled, but these two episodes… by the time I finished "The D", I was damn near incensed this show got canceled. Ritter and Walker have fantastic chemistry, JVBD and Ford are wonderful diversions, and it manages to be incredibly ribald and crude, and yet pretty shockingly progressive at times.
That was me. She does, but she's totally game for whatever they throw at her in this, and just sells it.
I think the characters in each show are different enough that it's not totally a one-for-one conversion, but yeah, once someone pointed out the similarities between Roger and Chloe, I couldn't un-see them.
Started in on "Terriers", because I enjoy having things I love cut horribly short.
