Breaking Bad is, in my book, unquestionably the best written, best executed show currently on television, and yet it is not my favorite show. I can't quite put my finger on why.

I was much more impressed with the Season 3 finale than the Season 4 finale. Or was this a kind of "in a time of war" last resort sort of thing given Aang's circumstances? I dunno. I'm with you on

My go-to case for this is Zuko's mom. Comprehending Zuko's fragmented, child-like understanding of his past is

The master plot is really solid, but yeah, Gene Yang's writing just screams "THIS IS FOR KIDS" and some of the subplots feel like they were yanked from a much lesser cartoon.
