Fucking Theon. He will always be a horrid, weasel faced little shit to me, but damned if this episode didn't sell me on his dilemma and his ultimate decision, disastrously horrible though it is.

The scene between Arya and Yoren was fantastic. Maisie Williams' performance was wonderfully restrained and evocative. I could see her ticking off those names in her head the whole time.

She was incredible. The minute she appeared on screen, I knew we were going to get Book 3 Margaery instead of Book 2 Margaery, who's kind of a non-entity.

Mmmk. Just saw the episode 3 preview, and it looks like shit is about to get real.

Tenzin says that Korra is his father's legacy, which is about as close as the show gets to spelling out the connection. I feel like anything more would be too on the nose.

Oh of course. I just meant that they'll have it happen when it's truly appropriate from a character development standpoint, and it's impact will need to be more than just OMGITSAANG!

I am so looking forward to that moment, though it's going to have to be pulled of delicately to keep it from being pure fan service. I imagine it won't happen for quite a while.

Yes! I loved that old lady.

Speaking of the giant deus ex machina: there's one on the giant gate to the Avatar compound in the Southern Water Tribe. It probably doesn't mean anything, but I thought it was interesting.

It's too rushed! It's too slow!

If this were a 20 episode season, they probably would have gone that route, but it's 12. It's the price of better looking animation and tighter plotting.

The fact of the matter is that not everyone lives to some sort of maximum age. It does seem a little arbitrary that Bumi was 112 and some of these characters died sometime between their late 60's and early 80's, but that's also pretty realistic. Life spans ARE arbitrary, and they aren't always cut short by natural

Well said.
