The Library certainly has its moments.  It's got some good laugh lines.  Like Hayden said, the whole idea of the underground library was very cool, and outlines the major plot objectives for the rest of the series.  But there are many many episodes I like a lot more, and Hayden put his finger on the things  that

I refused to see I Am Legend once I heard about the thing with the dog.

I completely forgot what a great Katara episode The Desert is.  That moment where she watches every other member of the group fall apart is incredibly bleak.  The exhaustion, despair, and anger just emanate through the screen.

I caught a random episode of NCIS recently and had the exact same thought.

She and Laura also seem to have a strategy of cossetting and enabling Josh's crazy and then siccing him on the other contestants.

"cuddly granola gays"

Either that, or his eyebrows will jump off his face and burrow into someone's skull.

After this week, I am back on Team Bert.

"Designers, the sponsor for this week is BeDazzler(TM)."

"Gretchen had a coterie of sidekicks that she employed to carry out her bidding. Josh merely has enablers."
You have just identified why I find Anya and Laura insufferable.

Maybe it's the teacher in me, but I am out of sympathy for individuals who use their personal tragedies and inner turmoil as a way of shielding their fragile egos from honest, constructively offered feedback from someone whose job it is to dole it out.  Maybe it was just the editing and he wasn't all "MY MOOOOOOOMMMM"

MY PARENTS WERE EATEN BY A BEAR.

I too was wondering how a unicellular organism (that is apparently sea-dwelling) would translate into fashion.

Damn all of you to hell.  I was drinking something.

There is a Season 3 flashback that suggests otherwise.

I think Ozai sees Azula as a means to an end, period, not necessarily as a person whose interests he wants to promote outside of his own quest for power.  Her talent is important to him because it bolsters his claim to the throne, since a potential Firelord needs a powerful heir.

I always assumed Ursa got it out of Azula, who seemed only too willing to broadcast it.

Yeah, that's a bit of a stretch.  Like I tell my students in English class, "stick to what's actually there," but it's a fun counterfactual to ponder.

Ok, I realize I've commented a lot on this post, but I can't help but offer one more observation.  These episodes are just too good.

Great moment of wordless storytelling when we see Iroh look at Toph and realizes she's working with the Avatar, then the cut from Toph's feet to Iroh's unconscious form as she realizes who it is.
