Hemophilia is a bitch.

Some of my favorite parts of both fight scenes are the reaction shots from the people watching.  Aang's utter astonishment when she strikes the first time against The Boulder is awesome.

This character is just the shit.  My favorite badass in all of television (though Kara Starbuck Thrace and Ron Fucking Swanson rank pretty close).  And even in this brief introduction you see the nuance that makes the character interesting.  She's exceptionally competent and she knows it. Her patrician upbringing

It's not really essential to the plot, though.  She offers that up as an excuse, but the friction between CJ and her detail is much more about the disruption of her routine and the intrusion in her person life.  I don't think she's being "oversensitive," just understandably resistant to the encumberence.

Bartlett's reaction to Hoynes's reason for being in AA is great too, though I can't remember it well enough to quote it.

Bartlett doing Charlie's tax return is one of my favorite "Bartlett doing what real people do" moments, right up there with the Butterball Hotline.

Yes it's sad, but you're in good company.

I'm guessing the race wasn't longer because they'd have to defibrillate most of the contestants.  And yeah, the whole premise was bullshit.

Seriously?  They make a bunch of frail, pasty people run around a track and four dudes in their 20's win?  Whodathunkit?

I was waiting to find out that he had a heart condition or something.

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON WITH JOSH'S EYEBROWS?

I had a similar problem with the way Becky was treated.  Shitty fabric aside, she turned out a pretty cute dress last week, WAY better than the other designer who inexplicably chose the same shitty fabric (Anthony Ryan?).  Josh C. just saw a woman who was somewhat older and somewhat heavier than his teenage stick

Those sorts of changes in these series put out by ghostwriting factories are pretty common, though.  If you get a copy of Nancy Drew from the 30's and a copy of the exact same book from the 50's, the changes are pretty astonishing.  In addition to aging her two years (because the stuff she did in the books was

I loved me some BSC as a kid, but the only thing I remember is the one girl with diabetes and being freaked out by book (or maybe it was a movie) because the girls performed a seance in it, and I had just learned in Sunday School that seances are the gateway drug to Satan worship and could get you possessed by demons

I never picked up on that, but it interested me enough to go look it up on the Avatar Wiki.  Huh.  I guess that offers a legitimate political reason for why Ozai might have wanted to disinherit Zuko, given that his younger sister outclassed him in just about every way from a very young age.

I tend to agree, except that the stilettos are incredibly badass and somehow appropriate to her character.

LoK will address this.  Apparently, affinities for particular elements are genetic, but intermarriage between different elemental nations can produce offspring with an affinity for either element.  Korra's two principle sidekicks, for example, are brothers from a multicultural background, one an earthbender and one a

We also never see anyone's skull get crushed from taking a rock to the face.
