I was really hoping for a gaussy, sentimentally soundtracked highlights reel. especially one featuring the durian fruit

As a passionate lover, defender, descendent, and believer in the AV club  and in recognizing you are the only publication that I follow regularly, this is both shocking, encouraging, saddening, unsurprising,  loving and passionately assumed goodbye for you all. you have had such a deep impact on how I think about

This was one of those rare TV moments that I was glad that my roommate was not home. The gasp-crying would have gotten on his nerves. Though he would have been around to stop me from calling all my ex-girlfriends and apologizing for everything I've done in every possible reality.

I've never understood why Heart of Stone is so derided in the trek canon. There's nothing really overtly wrong with it, and it even does some great world building, with two significant emotional climaxes. I also like how they wait for a bit before resuming the whole Kira/odo thing.

She did do a kickass job acting-wise in "The Assignment". But yeah, she was kinda written into a corner, only trotted out to remind people O'Brien has a family when he does something dangerous. Though, given her performance in "The Assignment" I almost want to assume that O'Brien is just a royal dick about work and

Let Me Guess
a young boy, adrift in a guardianless world, meets equally adrift older girl, who sexually awakens him and teaches him the difficult lessons of manhood and growing up, leaving him better equipped to face life challenges after many a loss of innocence.

I was about to knock this…
until I realized that it combined every single dating experience I've had in the last 4 years. So I may want to cringe along to this.

oh wait, I got mine!
anyone ever heard the new jersey alt country band Green Arrows? 123 i think is the best song ever, and they completely disappeared.

You may have expanded a few cults…
Digging that Vulgar boatman track. that tune sounds really familiar though, like it was from another song… help me out here…

It almost seems like
they needed warming up. it got so much better by the last third of the song. up until that point though, I may have called it a *cough*travesty*cough-cough*.
Still, it takes a pair in general to even attempt to cover Neutral Milk Hotel.

I wonder…
if you could just as easily fill this list with morrissey songs that make him look really, really bad.

you know what…
The titles at the end really reminded me of the opening titles in monty python and the holy grail, and while the movie looks really good, i feel like that's all i'll ever think about

I will admit, Having Siddig in it made me want to see it a little….
well, he was good in syriana, am I right?

I almost feel like that was the intent, as well as when you consider the titles of the other two films in that trilogy

oh, as well as spelling out everything the voiceover said in screensaver letters.

to wit,
