For someone who grew up in the middle of nowhere, 3+hours away from any radio station that wasn't country, top 40, or Classic Rock, in the days before downloadable music 120 Minutes was a godsend.

There was a brief period of time in the mid-90's when they would have various bands hosting 120 minutes. The only ones that I remember offhand are Sonic Youth, Cracker, and The Breeders(who did some Lolapalooza special and proceeded to shit all over Billy Corgan for 2 hours), but I think it went on for about a year. …
