Speaking of small-scale gritty realism, I had no idea they used Baltimore as a stand-in city. I'm picturing John fucking McClane and ten million dollars in CGI effects rampaging past the cast of THE WIRE somewhere in the west side.

Kevin Smith directing? A TV pilot? Wasn't the entire point of Kevin Smith the writing anyway? I mean, the man can't move a camera - even he admits that.
