Silvio (Unaware of the cat-hanging allegations): "Ah, get the kid a dog."
Tony: "I don't think that's such a good idea."

It's really a well-done version of Dicken's tale. Good family, Christmas fare.

Yeah, for some reason I never see this played on television. It's funny that the Estrogen Channels make brand new crappy Christmas movies every year but don't show quality entertainment like this. Anyway, this is really a good Christmas movie (I watch it every year).

Yes, good call! The early scenes where Slade & Co. make their rounds repossessing the people's goods while dirge versions of Christmas carols play is so sad. Also, instead of hoarding money, Slade hoards a warehouse full of goods, so American.

"From the Earth to the Moon" was a great series. The episode where they depict the building of the LEM is my favorite.

@LJo1:disqus I remember having go to the bank on Fridays to cash my paycheck. Then you had to get enough cash to last for the next week. Seems so ridiculous now. Now I very rarely carry cash at all. Electronic banking must have put a crimp in the pick pocket industry.
