Aren't many of the home improvement shows reality TV?  We meet the homeowner, maybe some of their friends and family.  They become characters in the show.  Those shows always do the annoying time limit thing too.  Why do they have to redo the guys yard in 48 hours?  What happens if it takes 3 days or 4 days?
