I remember watching these as they aired and then talking about them in school the next day.  Barney, of course was our favorite, but Ernest T. Bass episodes were the best.  Every year we watch the Christmas episode where the crabby old guy wants to be locked up so he can share in the festivities at the jailhouse.

For some reason this made me lol (is it still ok to use that?)  I think it's because instead of just blood spraying out, the organs spray out.  Don't ever change Lt.!

My wife and daughter saw Brave and liked it.  My daughter (she's 29) who is a bit of a cynic, was also quite touched by the relationship.  They must have done a good job with that part of the story.
