"If you put it like that, we have a moral obligation to do something about this! So could you maybe not put it like that?"

I want to chime in and note that the "false accusations" he cites aren't even actually that:

This is where I fall on this as well - I honestly don't believe that a person can support the Trump campaign without tolerating outright bigotry in a way that I would, personally, call deplorable. So yes, millions of Americans have shitty views or priorities or prejudices that they should be criticized for. Many of

A hawk dropped a trout into our camp once at a rave, and we ate it. Does that count?

They don't come off, actually, his "glasses" are just a protective chitin covering his eyes. Same with the moustache, it's not facial hair but a layer of fleshy spines that cushion his upper muzzle to make it harder for prey trapped in his jaws to get a grip on or injure his face while trying to escape.

Ew. That's either a truly extraordinary number of impregnations, or most men change their socks much less than I would have hoped. Either way, not great news.

Salted Caramel Truffle's place on this list is history's greatest injustice.

I'd put it into the same category as Greg and Amethyst hooking up after Rose died - it's clear that you can read it as romantic/sexual (and it's clear that the writers intend to suggest the possibility), but the show has declined to definitively commit one way or another.

I don't know Alonso, but Jennifer Berdahl is the real deal.

His claim is that the blonde-ness of women leaders is completely explained by the rates at which women generally dye their hair. So a randomly selected group of women with similar demographic qualities to American female leaders should be about as blonde. That's a pretty big claim and not one that seems backed up by

For what it's worth "feminine, disarming, and childlike" is a direct quote from one of the authors of the study.

That's not really how Occam's Razor works. The researchers here have a theory to explain a phenomenon (too many blonde leaders), and research that backs up that theory (people find them less threatening as leaders). That's a simpler explanation than your "women leaders just happen to disproportionately dye their hair

I think it's excellent. Obviously not for everybody, and the first few episodes can be a bit of a trial just because Steven himself is pretty obnoxious in them. But it's one of the most emotionally nuanced and mature shows I've ever seen, animated or otherwise, and somehow manages to combine that with humour,

Honestly I've grown to identify moderately with this weird little penguin, so it's not like I'm suffering or anything. If I could switch, maybe something from Steven Universe? Pearl in magician's hat and scarf? Or Paralyzed Horse from Bravest Warriors. I'd probably stick with something cartoony, anyhow.

Yuuuuup. I'm not that into Adventure Time, I've only seen a few episodes, but it just happened to be at about the time I made my AVC account and I thought Gunther was cute. 5 years later here we are.

I like Stars plenty, though I often forget about them for months at a stretch. Live, though, they're one of the best acts I've ever seen. Fantastic energy and audience rapport.

You're welcome. My roommate and I let them crash in our living room once while they were on tour in the summer of 2005 so I feel personally responsible for their subsequent success.

Nah. Douching is unhealthy and unnecessary. As a practice it's expensive, accomplishes nothing useful, is specifically harmful to women, and is hopefully on its way out. See also: Trump, Donald.

(late to the party, but anyhow) It's kinda funny because I actually try to be pretty scrupulous about the last name thing, a holdover from when I worked as a journalist. Thompson is one I regularly slip up on without even noticing, probably because I've had a lot invested in his writing since I was very young. He's
