I wonder if the outcomes of the book will impact on the series? I'm hoping not. Mind you, I can't really recall anything of substance from the books past number 4.

They so need to fire the guy responsible for making the merkins. Worst. Wig. Ever.

I screeched in annoyance when I saw the reference. Screeched, I tell you.

Johnny Depp (21 Jump Street). McGyver. Dean Cain. Maxwell Smart.

Ooh, Westley. I didn't see The Princess Bride until I was an adult, but Cary Elwes in that god-awful Robin Hood: Men in Tights might get a mention from me.

I've been known to still watch Anastasia and enjoy it. Except for Meg Ryan. I really dislike her in that.

Holy crap, I didn't even know he was dead. I was 12 when that Seaquest DSV came out and my classmates would go into a frenzy over a poster from Smash Hits.

I was always a Jess fan. Yeah, he had his dickish moments, but I still think that he was a better fit for Rory than Dean or Logan.

Rewatching the episode where Lorelai says yes made me wonder about her motivations. Her parents are in the middle of fawning all over Rory and she's kind of left by herself, ignored. It's almost as though she decides yes to be able to draw Rory's attention back to her and have a nice little Rory and Lorelai secret

The continued wait for news on a Bunheads renewal is just painful. Especially as I've been rewatching it.

See, the only thing I can think about in that scene is what all those daisies must smell like. Daisies aren't a particularly nice smelling flower, so en masse it must just reek.

He didn't go into the casino because he knew they'd recognise him as Oliver Queen, billionaire, straight away. Not because he didn't think he could take on all the men.

There was a saxophone AND a trumpet - the trumpet sitting on a side table and the sax sitting on a floor stand on the opposite side of the room.

Yeah, you're right. It still makes it weird that Christopher hasn't been to Stars Hollow though. I mean, the inn is obviously close enough to the town square to allow Lorelai time to go to Luke's for coffee constantly. Therefore you think that if Christopher visited, they'd go to the actual town and not just hang

I actually don't like Rory/Dean/Lorelai scenes. Dean seems not to mind spending a lot of time with his girlfriend's mother and Lorelai is way too involved in their relationship. Rewatching some of the season 1 episodes always makes me wonder why they didn't take it that extra step and have Dean develop a Lorelai crush.

Gotta be from Miss Patty's, surely.

Both excellent moments. I wish they'd just kept Taylor's appearances like this. There is such a thing as too much Taylor.

The "kid" references annoy me too. Is it because Lorelai spends most of her time being Rory's friend rather than mother and daughter feels too stuff or something?

A fair bit of the ratings decline here in recent years has to be put down to the internet, though. Australian networks continue to cling to the idea that they can sit on new content and show it at their leisure and expect audiences to wait.
