It's way too late now, but I think where this show went wrong with the looks discrepancy, if you agree there is one, is that it would have been more believable if Mickey was the most attractive woman Gus was with. Men will put up with a lot of craziness to "outkick the coverage", so to speak. What seems silly to me

Maybe the reason is her sex and love addiction? Isn't that the point here, that she's addicted to being loved, and Dustin was just a replacement while Gus was gone?

I'm sure you won't see this, but you come across as someone who's failed at lots of things because others didn't understand the importance of everything you do. I say this as someone who is very familiar with AA and the people who require 12-step programs.

I agree the looks disparity is a bit much to believe, but I also think the show tried to inform us about Mickey's inability to attract someone normal by casting Kyle Kinane as her previous long-term relationship. A short, fat and bald guy living with his mother in his '30s.
