You shouldn't mistake their lack of story as denial of the incident any more than you should mistake their writing jobs for regular journalism. Sorry but that's not making any point whatsoever, and only further underscores that their forte is trivial tidbits with humorous potential, not life-and-death stories, esp. ones with such limited clarity and access, and such wrenching details.
