Unfortunate soul patch, though.

Preparation X
I was hoping this book was about haemorrhoids. Perhaps the sequel will deliver.
If its any consolation, Trust is out on Region 2 DVD in the UK on July 27th. I'll be looking forward to seeing it for the first time, myself.
Monikers
Todd VanDerWerff? Is that a pseudonym?
Harry Dean as Saul/St. Paul in Last Temptation of Christ.
The similarities between The Driver and Le Samourai are remarkable, yet apparently, Hill always denied having seen it.
Pampers
Is the director really as immature as his other films would seem to suggest that he is? His penchant for "suddenly things go into slow motion" is a very tacky gimmick.
Disgracefully Unreleased DVDs
For Christ's sake— isn't anyone ever going to release 92 in the Shade on DVD? Ever?
Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry has a laughably downbeat ending- so blatantly tacked-on to cash in on the likes of Easy Rider nihilistic 'youth' movies.
Vanishing Point isn't much better- its basically just a wannabe-existentialist Smokey and the Bandit.
I propose a sequel in which they are reunited and go on to have all sorts of wacky adventures. I would call it Heavenly Creatures 2: Back in The Habit.
Dignity
I thought it was "Charles" Sheen, these days?
Loved this when I saw it at the cinema when I was (I think) 16- I was listening to Ziggy Stardust a lot at the time, and the whole shebang (clever) captured my imagination- but seeing it on TV again a couple of years ago, I thought it was poor- badly acted, and the 1984 incarnation of Slade is very unconvincing.
But I…

Funny
I remember watching this and thinking it was great fun, laughing all the way through- but when it was over, I realised that the movie had provided almost zero clues as to whether I was actually supposed to be laughing at it. So, it is either the most deadpan black comedy I have ever seen, or the most…
The guy 'rapping' is brilliant- "I'm rapping, rapping, rappity-rap-rap rapping".
Particularly Ringo Starr doing his original Goldfinger theme.
The Great Unmade Movie
I read an interview with Ferrara in which he said that Walken had written a script about John Holmes, but it wasn't actually about the real Holmes, it was about Walken's concept of Holmes, what Walken thought he would be like. When asked if he would direct the film, Ferrara said, "Yeah, sure,…
For the record, Scorsese nominated Bad Lieutenant as his favourite movie of 1993.
And now he's with Caruso on the CSI team! Well done, Lawrence .
Yeah, he was good when he was a character actor- he's also good in the Crime Story pilot,
also directed by Ferrara.
