I've always considered this guy exceptionally unfunny. Just because you like to rant about stuff, mostly hatred of women, doesn't make you a comedian. It was very specifically this guy's sexist ranting that ruined the Lucky Louie show for me. I think it's a testament to how talented Louis CK is that he succeeds

Oh yeah, the guy that ruined the Lucky Louis show with his acerbic, borderline retarded, sexist ranting.

You noobs forgot Dota 2.

Yeah, I've heard Thucydides sales are through the roof!

Fact: DFW once had an extended meeting with Gus Van Sant to discuss the possibility of an Infinite Jest film. Source: DFW at a reading I attended. He also talked about how he took the money for the film rights glibly, knowing that a film is not likely to ever be made of it.

And that's why this isn't a very good article. If SNL is still important why is this only a list of artists who bombed?

I've read Underground, which was amazing, but I've been to skittish to try anything else by him. Nothing else seems to be in that same vein. Any suggestions?

"street" is the new "urban"

Well, it was slightly more mean-spirited, but otherwise a note for note copy of TV Funhouse, just five years later.

I was a kid too when I saw it in the theater, left thinking it was a total piece of shit.

I'm not sure he's all that well respected by auteur directors, beyond his ability to put up big ticket sales.

Really? I think Magnolia is probably his best work, you're not supposed to like him you know. You didn't take any pleasure in seeing a beautiful, wildly successful self-aggrandizing boner on display who is subsequently psychologically lashed into a  whimpering pile of goo? I've always thought perfectly cast and

Not an Ewok hater either, but then I was the exact demographic they were trying to appeal to at the time. I even loved the TV shows with the Ewoks.

While Warhol's enthusiasm for the WWF was plain to see, a part of me almost wonders if he had less prurient motivations in attending an event where sweaty well-muscled spandex-clad men rollick around in theatrical fight simulations. Almost.

DPA - you're really just parroting the prosecution's defense and introducing nothing new here that hasn't been thoroughly debunked. You've again proven that Echols was a fan of HP Lovecraft and death metal and may have said some crazy shit for attention. But then circumstantial evidence is fairly easy to create.

Has anyone really been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

I can't tell you how many times people read my Texas is the Reason shirt as "Jesus is the reason." That sucked in every way.

There were bits and pieces of the Filth that I liked, the art was good, but overall I pretty well hated it. Remember getting to a part about something being "powered by cathedrals," sighing, and putting it down. Overwrought intellectual masturbation isn't something that I typically look for in a graphic novel. Also,

It's the Talking Heads you idiots.

newc0253's review is actually much better than the Phipps review way up top. Most of the negative criticism about IB has been more than vague. My local paper panned it as being "uneven" as if movies are to be judged by some arcane sense of symmetry. I think this movie actually had a masterful control of tension, using
