It's obviously Lynch making fun of the long and pointless James subplot from season 2. This was referred to as his 'motorcycle accident' at the end of episode 2. "James is still cool!" It all fits together.

The "motorcycle accident" the ladies refer to was really James' pointless sub-plot from Season 2. That wasn't his fault, so he's always been cool. Also, Cera in episode 4 was an outright parody of James' pointless and long sub-plot from Season 2.
