Absolutely. And it didn't help with Kennedy bringing attention to the fact that he doesn't have any family stuff around.

At first I wasn't I would like the Kennedy character, but he's really grown on me, even if he is a little overbearing at times (Takes 1 generation? Yea we got it.)
Well technically Rosh Hashanah is on the same day(s) every year. But yes, end of September this year. But hot damn, Zabar's is lovely, if also really expensive; I find their smoked fish in particular to be delish.
I know he doesn't do tons of films, but you'd think Mark Maron would have better opportunities than this.
You realize of course that everything you are saying could be true.
-That 300,000 Americans died (interesting that you presumably don't include Confederates, but that's a different conversation),
-that they were all Republicans (clearly untrue),
-that "libs" are wiping out the political affiliations of former…
As I flipped through the channels this evening, I saw he is now apparently accusing Costco of censoring him because they took his book off the shelves (more of a table really, I guess), and Obama likes Costco, and therefore something about people trying to silence him. Apparently they removed it because it wasn't…
FWIW I'd be interested to learn about why HW is placed so high on your list; not that I necessarily disagree, but it's curious to see, and not something one sees very often. As you probably know, people like Reagan and Truman are often placed much higher on lists such as these.
Check out the twitter shoutout from our old friend Todd VDW:
As yes, this is point at which the person has posted for the first time (4 comments at last check…all in this piece), and suddenly realizing it may not have been a great idea to use his actual name and actual photo. Nice lion.
"Indian"? Who exactly are you quoting? Certainly not Ehrlich, as he doesn't use the word "Indian" in his review. Regardless, he does mention that D'Souza is a first generation immigrant, which D'Souza himself uses as a launching pad in the first 10 minutes of his other movie.
Based on previous posts by the author on other Disqus websites, I would say it's not a joke. By the way, and I hope I'm not jinxing myself here, as much as a comment like his can and does invoke such a strong response, I like that AVC people have been good about avoiding the downvote. Nice job, people.
Well anti-Christian bias would explain why the AV Club gave this a crap review when it's constantly giving such good grades to Saw and Tyler Perry movies.
MmmmmI like that movie. Got its flaws, but I'm a fan. Looks good, interesting characters, great scope of plot, battle, and era. I hear the Ridley's director cut is even better, but I haven't been able to get my hands on it yet. Then again, I'm also a Prometheus apologist…
"And my aks!"
Totally thought you were going Kirk fighting shape-shifting Iman-as-Kirk in The Undiscovered Country. "I can't believe I kissed you." "It must have been your lifelong ambition!"
I was thinking about that - while certainly laborious, it can't possibly be that hard to do. The films all presumably look similar (given how they were all made together), and there are so many extended bits that can so easily be lopped off.
This Thursday: "Powder Her Face" Live! Only on NBC.
I agree with what you're saying, but getting someone who can sing and act, and most importantly, get ratings, is not easily done. As much as I have no need for Carrie Underwood, NBC was kind of forced to get someone of her recognition to justify producing something as expensive as this. They had to compromise on…
I thought it was great - the fact that Stephen Moyer acted like a champ but does not sound like a trained singer
gave him a very sensitive performance, and the staging of it was simple enough (Max on one side, Nazis on the other, family in the middle) to drive the emotional point home.
