You mean like flying around on a carpet? Dude, their air-defenses are for shit; it'd be cool…

You would have enjoyed my small-but-perfectly-formed documentary on Uday Hussein's underpants fetish The Briefs of Baghdad.

In the early 80s in Boston, I saw Abel Gance's Napoleon with a live orchestra conducted by Carmine Coppola (Francis Ford C.'s dad); he may have actually composed the score as well but I can't remember.

Now that's something I'd happily pay for: a deluxe DVD set of Von Stroheim's films. One of the many wonderful things about Sunset Boulevard is seeing Von Stroheim basically playing himself.

Odd Man Out is, as far as I remember and I haven't seen it in over 20 years, an especially bleak film. The Third Man and The Fallen Idol were more cynical/sardonic, very much in the mold of the Greene works they originated in.

Thanks for the link to your Soderbergh reviews. Great stuff. I'm especially pleased to see that you liked Kafka as much as I did.

GODDAMN RIGHT, BUDDY…CALL THE LIMO, GET THE DANCING GIRLS OUT OF THOSE TIGHT RESTRICTIVE CLOTHES, CALL THE CALI CARTEL AND TELL THEM TO UP THOSE SHIPMENTS AND LET'S DO THIS THING!!!

Apparently, he (Soderbergh) is making a telefilm for HBO called Behind The Candelabra with Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as his lover Scott Thorson. I look forward to that.

My last comment was a reply to you but I've evidently replied to myself (sigh)…thanks again.

Thanks @TNR:disqus …I've downloaded it (God bless Pirate Bay) and I look forward to watching it tonight. I can't believe I'd never even heard of it until you guys mentioned it.

I meant to add: what's not to like?

Thanks for the Schzopolis tip (I've never come across it before). I see that imdb describes it thus:

I used a magic marker to draw a mouth, 2 eyes and a nose on my thumb; then I pretended it was saying all kinds of stupid shit while sporting a hoagy-sized medieval dildo on its back. Just like Renner, really…only more charismatic.

Is James Franco involved in this? How can I be expected to take this seriously if America's most ubiquitous polymath isn't involved?

Is there anything that this hyperactive egomaniac isn't prepared to sully? Why can't he just confine himself to working on his oxycontin habit and perfecting his sexual-assault techniques… like all the other Hollywood douchenozzles?

The news that this posturing ninny is going to make Blood Meridian has made me reconsider kicking my heroin habit.
