The movie they did last year actually sold very well. The show only stopped because Brent Butt wanted, if he changes his mind CTV/Comedy Network will probably instantly renew it just like South Park.

Last year it had two Aftershows something the US one doesn't do. CTV knows it's popular and wants to expand it out where they can.

Most of US cable shows cost extra in Canada, HBO, Showtime, etc. For things like Syfy we usually have Space Channel to air when you do but sometimes lesser known shows still get delayed here. Mr. Robot isn't supposed to officially start until September on Showcase, after USA will have finished the season.

It actually set a live viewership record for Space Channel here.

At least they're performers. Next week the guest is Kathie Lee and the week after that some UFC guy. I really have no idea how/why they keep trying to have guests in almost every episode.
