I'm not sure what you're remembering, but there's no version of this story where clarice jumps "into the ocean to escape Hannibal." in the movie she chases hannibal to the water, only to find he has already escaped by boat. in the book, of course, there's no such scene.

my reading is that walt wanted jesse in the room to kill him, but when walt saw the truth he made a last minute effort to save jesse (and ended up taking a bullet in the side).

i spent the last 15 or so minutes chewing on my knuckles… i don't think i've done that since the 3rd season.  also: how do you end an episode at that exact moment?!

though did you see the "comedy talk-talk" thing during comedy bang-bang?  kind of made up for the ridiculous promos for talking bad/talking dead.

he wasn't in this episode, i think, but there's that friendly low-level cop who keeps trying to get himself involved in the investigation.  this week when the woman they rescued in the desert said the killer had a cop car made me think he might have something to do with it.

in my junior year of high school a very pretty girl transferred into my school.  we had several classes together, but i don't think i ever spoke two words to her; i mostly just stared creepily at her, and then averting my eyes when she looked over at me.  my good friend did this also — we referred to the moment when

just reading about it gave me goosebumps, and i started to tear up.  a remarkable episode of television.

not gullible?  i have one word for you: spanikopita!

i think the stuff with manolo and pete's mom only works because they made it such a minor, background story.  if it had been the focus of an episode it would have been ridiculous, but because it was basically a c-story it works.

i went to ystad in southern sweden to see where the wallander books take place.  at the tourist office they have a ton of wallander-related items, including a self-guided walking tour of select locations.  while i was in the region i also went to elsinore in denmark.

i've always thought that instead of an origin story like "avengers" that DC should make a justice league movie in which they are already a team, and just throw as many characters into it as they possibly can.  not sure who owns the film rights to all of these characters, but this show makes me think they could get a

oh man, i'd forgotten about the monster mash bit.  such a perfect character beat for both of them; it's this kind of thing that makes the weirs feel like an actual family, only 3 episodes in.

also love the way they say "whippoorwill"

how about the one where the cops spot the escaped convicts in the diner, and give chase… but only after they all finish their meals, pay the checks, and then fill up their gas tanks.  i love the reveal of "the border."

ok, tiger. fair enough.

i read his autobiography, "life's that way," about the death of his wife.  heartbreaking stuff.

sound slike a commercial for last week's episode, when lana was put in command.

and her cherry blossoms were wilting

not a bad, joke, but a bad time for jokes.

i don't care, anything with kindler's lindensen is pure comedy gold to me.
