Born Again is awesome… Year One is probably Miller & Mazzucchelli's peak as both writer and artist. That book is really something else. It had a huge impact on me and I probably would've never worked in comics had I not picked it up at the grocery store when I was 9 and 10.

This has always been my favorite 4 comic books of all time
And I consider it the perfect Batman story and Mazzuchelli's art was and remains flawless.

It was solid and I enjoyed it. Thanks for bringing it up, I really do need to purchase it. Love anything integrated from Kirby, and wasn't Lobo in an episode? The voicing and writing was very strong, even though the style works better for Batman.

Best Batman movie.

Novoselic is a really genuine nice guy. Somewhat guarded and passionate about things beyond music. But yeah, he is super cool and wicked smart.

I just want you to know JJ, I wasn't trying to be a dick or criticize. There is certainly far, far worse things wives and children purchse (husbands too)… It just recalled in my mind the incredibly extensive selection of youth sized T-Shirts with Green Day grenades on them.

I had an ex girlfriend who knew fuck all about music. Raided my collection and passed off her knowledge as her own. She bought her son Green Day and Misfits shirts, because, duh - Hot Topic.

I love ABBA… but Mamma Mia! is pretty terrible. It had the cooperation of Benny or Bjorn (or all?) but maybe they were trying to stay relevant. Lawdy knows they rich as fuck.

They as a whole suck, but that song is pretty fun I think. I guess I saw the video before I heard it and I thought it was funny in an obnoxious way. But the song is catchy.

Oh, and on the latest JU record, Grohl and Taylor what's-his-face did the drums. And it is some fine, fine drumming…

Chris Shiflett (FF gee-tar player) has/had a side band called Jackson United that is just fucking awesome awesome awesome awesome. 2 really solid rock records that rival his day job, and in many instances is better and more consistent.
