Death Metal, Grindcore and cocaine go hand in hand in hand. Most brutal songs I ever wrote came from skeet-fests.
Religion is what we make it, especially given that man made God.
IF the bass were to be mixed in slightly more, I could see it given the "Vulgar Display Of Power" treatment… anything more than that would step on the awesomeness of the riffs and drums. Even the vocals sit beautifully in the mix…
Randy - check out "Persistence Of Time" as well, different singer but riffs for fucking days and a damn good album…
And some back-up vocals on the first Danzig album…
Death are indeed ownage.
Blackened was on side 1 - and my favorite track on the album… :)
Kyle- It's still awesome and I welcome the metal injection to AV Club… well done.
AJFA is perfect as-is.
He was considered for the role of vocalist in Metallica when they were first starting out…
A fly on the wall indeed!
Because Hanneman wrote it.
They got real uneven after "The Sound Of White Noise" - which I consider a masterpiece. Truly amazing metal album, following up the almost-as-excellent "Persistence Of Time"… Curious to what the new stuff will be like. I've avoided all videos and shit on 'net with their new singer so far.
I was thinking the same thing, but they probably had to keep it on topic…
A real over/under achiever!
Yeah, its just solid entertainment and has been pretty consistent. A glaring omission from T.V. Club!
Agreed, I should have been more patient for the post to pop up, but my terminal canceraids hasn't left me with much time, so…
*sygh*
Hater - same here… I didn't even set aside the evening for it anymore or bother to record it. I missed the last several episodes of season four, including the finale. I loved that fucking show like no other… but it lost me.
