Awesome post, JLR… I'm a comics creator as well (DC, Paradox, Image, and a big upcoming project I'm doing on my own) and a lot of these issues and problems are what made my head ache enough to walk away for a very long time. Until I realized I love the medium, don't care much for the industry.

Hetfield's voice hit its prime on AJFA. That anger and intensity came across soooo well. Much better than all the bands trying to sound over the edge now. Only Anselmo could match him.

Alien 3 would be the weakest of the franchise if not for Resurrection. Let's not even talk about the horrible AVP movies… that said, I always kinda liked Alien 3. Even if it does feel unfinished and compromised.

I cannot fucking WAIT for that new Bionic Commando! The original is excellent, though I admit I could never get all that far into it!

I'm on board with Wally… but I never had any love for Rayner… and yeah, that's certainly from the writing. Though I always felt he was unnecessary and his costume/gauntlets/mask irritate me to no end.
