Side note- 100% unconfirmed as far as I know, but around December 2016 the rumor mill was strong that plans for the 30th anniversary of FF this year were going to include a reveal of a port of the FFXIII trilogy for the PS4 (following this recent release of FFXII).

I mentioned this before to SG but Final Fantasy VI is my go-to vote for the perennial classic of the series.
And IX is great, albeit grindy in a VII kind of way (though MUCH smoother I hear with the latest port and fast forward options).

I wholeheartedly recommend watching that movie. If for no other reason than so you can understand the context of "two weeks" and "get your ass to Mars" among many other things.
