You forgot to ask him about arguably the best movie he's ever been in, Abel Ferrara's KING OF NEW YORK. There have to be some crazy stories from the making of that film. Also, I believe Ferrara directed one of the MIAMI VICE episodes he was in. Speaking of Miami Vice, he was also in Michael Mann's ALI (another

First, let me say that I think it's pretty great that you send these lists to your staff. The more of these movies they see the better the lists will be.

Some omissions I thought were rather significant:
- Days of Being Wild (Wong Kar Wai, 1990)
- The Lovers On the Bridge (Leos Carax, 1991)
- Night and Day (Chantal Akerman, 1991)
- Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (David Lynch, 1992)
- Satantango (Bela Tarr, 1994)
- Heat (Michael Mann, 1995)
- Taste of Cherry (Abbas Kiarostami,

Let me start by saying that I like your list. I vehemently disagree with some of the selections, omissions, and rankings, but such is the nature of "best of" lists. I appreciate the time and effort all of you at the AV Club put into this.

Great list. Surprised Father, Son, Holy Ghost by Girls, Parallax by Atlas Sound, and Let England Shake by PJ harvey didn't make it though.
