Were people at all bothered by the lack of grieving over Hubbell himself? I thought it was odd the surfer bar owners didn't offer any sort of condolences, especially because Fanny seemed like a regular there. Even his childhood friend handled it all a little too well.

Palladino's response isn't really one in reply to a diversity issue. The interviewer designs the question in hand to be a "woman vs woman" issue rather than whether there's validity to the criticism at hand, something that Amy disappointingly enough, didn't address.
