The Angry Black Man is right. He was OK in Casino Royale, but QoS revealed him to be a charmless heap of nothing.

On the subject of mind-blowingly good recent British TV shows, I finally got around to watching this at the weekend:
Somehow the combination of casting and story means that I can see this movie so clearly in my mind that I don't think it ever needs to be made.
THIS IS… actually, you know what, I'll just go.
I never got how, in Legally Blonde, its supposed to be the worst thing in the world that this guy might be attracted to Reese Witherspoon - just because he's old. As soon as any character in that movie hears that Garber's character tried it on with Witherspoon, they look like they are going to puke blood. "A middle…
No forgiveness for the Dursleys…
I thought that was a great change in DH1 (I know they filmed a more upbeat farewell, but it was right to get rid of it). After the relative horror of Potter's early life, it was great to see him wordlessly watch them go, then stand in the cupboard under the stairs. Awesome, harsh…
I fucking love David Yates' films so very much. Cuaron was good, but his film still looks like an upbeat sunny walk in the park compared to HPB or DH1. Those films were like Ingmar Bergman's Harry Potter in terms of style.
The Voldemort Vs Dumbledore battle is the single best fight sequence in all of the films including DH2 - made vastly better by the fact that Dumbledore has to keep on interrupting his assault to bat Harry down. The fact that Harry is literally shit scared throughout makes it even better.
My money is included in this heap of money.
I saw it earlier - I'm a big fan of the last few films, but found it underwhelming. Can I have my booking fee back?
Even if it was a cash grab (which I doubt, simply because the production team has had so much freedom), it still resulted in an awesome, austere, downbeat blockbuster. You don't get many of them.
Partially funded by the same European investment consortium that sold the licensing rights to Transporter 3.
Was there a Car Jesus? I always wondered that.
Best thing ever to come out of Masterchef…
…is this, but be warned. Its British:
I find K-Stew completely believable as an awkward, miserable, possibly damaged teen. Completely believable. And I think she has given quite a few totally convincing, and therefore very accomplished, performances as a result (Adventureland, Twilight, The Runaways).
The Tronening?
Reynolds only good performance (that I've seen) is in Adventureland, where he plays a self regarding dick.
Chris O'Dowd
Nice to see a brief cameo by Chris O'Dowd in the Bridesmaids trailer. My interest in the movie just went up by 0.01 percent.
The 'I'm a crap dad,' meltdown in Wallander was great.
Monkeys act like little, 12 inch tall, meth heads - with all the screeching, feces chucking, motiveless destruction of everything and endless biting.
