Only season that didn't kick off with a cold open was season 2. It was supposed to have one with the scene at Dragonstone that introduced Stannis, Davos, & Melisandre but they decided to push it back later in the episode

I questioned the fact that a chase scene took place in the streets of downtown D.C. and nobody got lost.

Ha! Classic Sam…
Good to see Bronn again after being absent for a few episodes. Also good to see him still not give a fuck more than any other character in the series. Jaime officially conceded the I-don't-give-a-fuck baton to Bronn this episode.
I hate Locke as much as the next guy but I couldn't help but chuckle at what he said when Jaime arrived.
Best "Hodor" of the series so far!
David Brent. Movie Theatre Middle-Management.
I reckon he just recited The Night's Watch Vow with his tongue.
For Ned it really wasn't that Jaime broke his oath but when he chose to break it. Jaime was present in the throneroom when the Mad King burned Ned's father alive & had his older brother strangled & did nothing. He didn't act against the king until his father was sacking the city with a sword to his back. As Ned told…
Ygritte: "He's gonna throw a big march on The Wall this weekend. We're all invited. I'm thinkin' I might take that new guy from The Night's Watch. Things go well, I might be showin' him my Snow-face."
Mind you, it's probably the same name nickname Ros & the other whores have for Pycelle
She could've at least put some glitter in those jars.
I sure hope Jaime escapes & manages to free Brianne in the process. He's not gonna be able to take on Locke & his men single-handedly.
