I see this complaint all the time, and it has nothing to do with the movie and everything to do with your expectations. It's not a satire, or a deconstruction. If the ads said that, or a review told you that, they were wrong. It's a superhero movie.

Really loved this one, and it's the only one this season where I didn't have to preface that with "I loved it except for x and y and z". Just a great holiday episode of TV, and it's a shame it didn't get to air at Thanksgiving when it was supposed to.
