Well now I have to watch it.

Tim Minear's name may be golden because of Firefly but I don't think he's done anything good since then.

All the likes.

All the likes.

The Grey: Ultra serious setup to characters dying in cartoonish (and cartoonishly stupid) ways. There is how the characters think:

How do you know the pig didn't deserve having a gun pointed at him? Have you researched it? With over 6 million Americans in jail for our massive justice industry, I'm sorry he didn't pull the trigger. Maybe the cop wouldn't have deserved it, but statistically, odds are, he did.

All of those things are correct except for him being a good actor. He just isn't.

Yes. You're supposed to believe that everything that happens in the Die Hards could happen. Not only could happen… did happen. They're documentaries.

It's kinda scary that possibly the most important factor in getting an Oscar is having Weinstein behind you.

Pretty silly.

It seemed like an innocent question at first, but after continuing to ask the same question of Tarantino for minutes on end, my impression is that interviewer is a little cunt.

Too slow

Everybody knows the real inspiration for Inception came from Inception.

Lohan sighed. Now that shooting had begun, she had the power.
“Sorry, Paul, I guess you’ll have to fire me again.”

She already got a Best Director Oscar she didn't deserve, just for having slept with James Cameron. Isn't that enough?

The plots of his movies have become more and more kinetic over time, and reached the peak of that trend in The Dark Knight. In Inception, it was almost too much… almost. In TDKR, it was too much. There could have been a few more quiet moments for a more coherent narrative.

I don't get the Snyder hate. His movies are visually stunning; his main problem seems to be that he's terrible with actors. If the actor doesn't bring it, then Snyder is unable to bring it out of them. (Although in the case of Malin Ackerman, I don't think there's anything in there to bring out).

Whatever you think of the story or the acting, Batman deserved a cinematography nod.

A-fucking-men. I think the Scientology angle must have hurt the film big time. No nod for best picture even though there's 10 nominee spots now, no Greenwood score?

I didn't see his other movies this year, but Killer Joe was great. After seeing it I was surprised that Juno Temple's name didn't come up more. Her performance was at least on par with his.
