Point taken, but in a (popular music) world where the vast majority of musicians settle on melodies constructed from the diatonic modes or the pentatonic scales, the odd writer who ventures outside of the box with INTERESTING NOTE CHOICES is likely to get my attention.

I was thinking the same thing. In interviews and a number of the skits on SNL, he came off as a pretty grounded and down to earth guy. Never like a "movie star." We need more people like him in Hollywood.
