That other Guy
For a while in early 00's I thought he was the guy who was married to Madonna. But he is way more awesome.

"The Time Machine" was such a weird movie. It was kind of over before it started. Pearce was great in it, though.
I don't know about LaToya, but I do remember an old Psychic Friends commercial where Dionne emphatically stated that she personally is not a psychic.
I gotta give it up
This was a pretty bitchin' interview. You got Liam to sit still for more than 10 minutes, so props for that alone.
I rewatched the episode again on Hulu, don't ask me why, but it's actually pretty funny and Cyrus is not half bad. She is clearly more talented than Paris, it just reminded me of that one insofar as the writers kind of played it safe and didn't really make fun of her.
David Mamet
Pretty much all Mamet films are about conspiracies, and hold together with varying success, but "Homicide" is probably the best one as far as not falling apart at the end goes.
Actually that is a really good point.
Psychic showdown
LaToya and Dionne are totally going to throw down over whose early '90s psychic hotline was better.
@My Name: You should have called out some Albert Hammond Sr. songs.
Without giving the writers a pass…
it reminded me of the Paris Hilton episode. It seems like getting an ironically famous and mostly just tolerated person to host would be a gift from the comedy gods, the cold reality of their inability to act probably becomes apparent pretty quickly.
"Lou Reed/indie vaudeville" is maybe the best description of the Strokes I have ever read. And yet I am a fan.
I hate when people do this, but I really did mean "too."
I get the impression SNL is a scary place to work for a writer. The writers must be conscious of the fact they're constantly doing the same thing, it seems like they are afraid to be to edgy or original for fear of being replaced if it falls flat. Lorne is definitely running the thing on autopilot these days and…
Poor Phil
He's really just a victim of being over-exposed and over-played. Like his work or not, the guy has had an amazingly impressive career. I get the impression he did the commercial shit to pay the rent, but he always really wanted to be a classic singer in that Stax/Motown mold, and he does those songs justice…
Didn't he do the soundtrack for "Brother Bear" too? Don't even remember if that's a Disney movie.
Heche, I can't decide if you are really funny or really mean. Both?
Clarissa was cool and all but
Shelby Woo FTW
It's so terrible that it almost seems like some kind of postmodern joke or something on the part of Nick Denton. And of course they didn't just stop at gawker, they had to redo all their sites. If I know one things, it's that the people who visit kotaku and io9 will not stand for that jazz.
Late reply here, but you are probably right.
Yet another titan goes down
First gawker kills their site and now this, not that there's any comparison really. AMG is to me the absolute messiah of websites. I knew something was afoot when I clicked on some company info or something about a year ago and all this "Rovi" shit came up. You can be sure the new site will…
