I'd like to play more Dragon Age: Inquisition now that the combat is starting to tick more that I have specializations, and the characters are starting to like me more. But it's getting hard to find the time. I'm wondering if there is a lot more game after I finish the masquerade/warden story missions.

This may be the most onion-like article and headline I've seen on the AV club yet.

I read the first 8 many years ago. I really liked them, but the wait until the 9th killed my momentum. Too many characters. Too many plot lines, and no hope of catching myself up without re-reading the 10,000 pages.

I don't know how much Dragon Age I have left, but it's getting better the longer I play it. I unlocked the new base and my specialization. Good times.

But everyone knows girls don't read fantasy.

I love the Dagger and the Coin and The Expanse. It's just hard to keep up with all the stuff.

Holy crap that exposes some of my biases. What makes it galling as I've been making concerted efforts to get more ladies on my bookshelf. Hobb is the best. That new one is one of my favorite fantasy books of the year. And I really like the two Jemison books I listened to after seeing her on that Game of Thrones AV

I mostly listen to fantasy audio books at work. And I have to say the narrator for some of those Abercrombie books is the perfect marriage of actor with the book.

Needs more snow and hills.

Me to. Unfortunately, I read the two biggest trifles on the list.

I've never read Alloy of Law, but I can recommend Sanderson if you enjoy the genre. I find that his books are great for long road trips.

I approve of the inclusion of the Sanderson book. He may not be the best writer (unless best means writes the most). But his books are perfectly cromulent and shockingly propulsive for 1200 page fantasy epics. The book makes my inner 12 year old happy. As does the fact that fantasy books seem to be getting better.

Needs more community references.

I like this.

I totally agree. At the same time, I think this kind of criticism (from the original article not your criticism) is kind of lazy. These games obviously resonate with many people and failing to account for why these games are so popular and engaging despite their moral and aesthetic failings is a problem. Elucidating

This review is correct insofar as it goes. The unthinking and mostly unexplained violence is both aesthetically and morally bankrupt.

Far Cry is about the only shooter series that's worth a damn. I could flamethrower some soldier dudes while a tiger eats their face all day.

I think I'm going to spend this weeking playing Fantasy Life on 3DS. It's annoying to me that the game's writing isn't as charming as its art style. But I'm a sucker for the 3DS time waste genre (Animal Crossing, Rune Factory etc.). And mining some video game ore for dosh sounds like a perfectly cromulent way to

Yeah! I pre-ordered the collectors edition of Kingdom Hearts. It's $100, but it does come with KH 1.5 Remix and 2.5 Remix along with some miscellaneous goodies.
