He plays a great (impeccably dressed) asshole in Prince of the City. I think I rented that movie from Netflix because of an AV Club article. No one could film New York like Lumet. Such a great film. It's so long it's essentially a mini-series, but it's worth every minute. Glad you asked about it,

What about that Ralph Lauren model, Tyson? I enjoyed his turn in Zoolander.

Corky Romano was an actual movie that cost millions of dollars. End of discussion.

And whichever Segal movie he's the villain in (Out for Justice?)

It's weird how they went from being Flying Burrito Brothers with no balls to being ZZ Top with no balls (little did they know, ZZ Top would soon remove their own balls). I actually like the Eagles quite a bit, but can't stand most of the big hits. "Those Shoes" is my jam, though.

Wasn't it even more specifically that it's unfair how Springsteen is lauded by critics and seen as the coolest dude ever when really he's just Billy Joel with more style, flare and possibly even clunkier lyrics? (Not saying that's my opinion, but that seemed to be what CK was getting at)

I think that slick '80s sound adds to the menace. Sounds almost robotic and inhuman.

He also plays on at least three Brian Eno albums. The Classic Albums documentary on Face Value is slightly boring but the clips of him playing the drum parts on "In The Air Tonight" are awe inspiring. There's a lot more to that beat than meets the eye (or untrained ear).

You should start with his short stories in Rock Springs. I have never read one of his novels but enjoy his stories immensely.

Dime novels, perhaps.

Actually thought he was way too in love with his dialogue in Death Proof. Those conversations were boring as hell. Less talky more car crashes/chases/chicks climbing on moving cars please.
