There's a mall like this in Nashville, Bellevue Center Mall. Very depressing, especially since it was like THE place to be up until the early '00s. Someone on YouTube posted a video of them riding a bike through the expanse of the mall, which was mildly entertaining.

I could totally be making this up, but I seem to recall someone in an interview asking Ellroy what he thought of Russell Crowe's performance in LA Confidential, to which Ellroy replied:
"I think Guy Pearce is one of the finest actors of his generation."

All of the above mentioned albums are nearly tied for me.

Hope so too. Lots of people have been calling it his best since Transcendental Blues, which is a good sign. Can't take anymore of the drum machines and singing about satellite radio. Not saying it couldn't work, but he didn't make it work. And I hate to say it, but his version of "Way Down in a Hole" was near the

Casablanca is a movie I keep thinking I've seen, but I'm pretty sure I've never seen the whole thing all the way through. Have only seen about 45 min of Great Escape on TV, too.

Agree with JHawk. I think it's more the effect of Simon being from Baltimore and not being from NO. The details of Baltimore just seeped into the scripts and production, even if he wasn't trying cause he lived and breathed that city, whereas on Treme, there's clearly some effort at work to work in capturing details. I

I'm almost certain he's not worried about the 500 indie sketch groups on YouTube.

Except Renner is already around the same age Cruise was in Mission Impossible 2. I'm not sure how this is going to work exactly.

He was great when he was on Conan. Also great as the lawyer on Delocated.

I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but I recall Tarantino's stock answer anytime someone asked him about the effects of his violence might have on young people was something about how Bambi's mother getting killed is far more traumatizing than anything in Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction. I'm sure other

ET is not scary. Stop being a pussy.

Also, that version of Pulaski is pretty weak compared to Cooley's solo acoustic version from a few years back. That show deserves to be heard by all. Google the A Truer Sound blog, they should have it.

If you're worried about looks, alt. country/southern rock is probably not the style of music you should be listening to.

Yep, his band is great live. How many white guy bands out there can do a killer cover of "Cissy Strut"? Only a bunch of white guys from Muscle Shoals (and maybe NOLA) could pull that off.

His albums still have 2 or 3 amazing songs on them, which is all he contributed to the DBT albums. But in my opinion, his batting average is still better than Hood's. Cooley's the real deal, though.

I blame Ehren Kruger completely for Scream 3. Horror comedy isn't easy to write, and he seemed to just write a b-horror movie and later threw in some jokes and scenes from a stale comedy script he had lying in a drawer. Even if you don't like Scream 1 or 2 (and 2 is pretty good until the end, where Tim Olyphant

Forlani is bad but Jeremy London is worse, simply because he has more screen time. I suggest everyone watch Mallrats, but instead of watching the movie and enjoying Jason Lee, just watch London's reactions. His acting when he's talking is soap opera bad, his acting when he's not talking is driver training video bad.

I watched Long Riders too. Awesome flick.

The House Bunny is surprisingly funny thanks to Faris and Stone giving it their all. It's worth a watch. And I agree that while Just Friends is hard to sit through, some of her scenes are laugh out loud funny. "TJ!!!!!!!!!"

It's okay, he's not an easy read.
