Well, they did meet at St Albans prep school in DC. Not saying that makes them all rich, but I'm guessing none of them grew up in the slums.

Nashville Studio too
They were reportedly putting some finishing touches on the recording at Blackbird Studios here in Nashville. They actually released a brief video of them recording in said studio. Was hoping to see Buck standing in the shadows during the Pixies show at the Ryman a few weeks ago, but no such luck.
He sort of looks like the lovechild of Swardson and Breaking Away-era Dennis Quaid.
I know for a fact that Lehane set out to write a book with a message…so that's probably why the mystery isn't all that great. He was really trying to get a point across, for better or worse.
I thought the show was definitely showing that Don can't really discipline her. "Discipline" doesn't mean spanking or sending her to bed without supper, it means giving her structure. Believe it or not, kids do like that, it makes them feel safe—and Sally lacks that in her life. Clearly, Betty's in favor of her being…
Ran across it last week. Had honestly no idea it existed until then. Was very confused to see Mark Duplass in a sitcom, so I was intrigued enough to watch. I like Scheer and Kroll, but their presence does not exactly say "watch this!" like Duplass' did. Loved every episode of season 1 and thought this one was pretty…
There's a lot of tongue-in-cheek elements to the Kenzie books that I think aren't readily apparent—and something Affleck took out in his adaptation (which was fine with me, I'm not sure how well a lot of the humor would translate on film). I always saw the books as Lehane's time to experiment and have some fun; the…
Unfortunately, no…I think it spans 1994-2008.
You'd think Sam Adams of all people would know his Boston-area geography. Founding Father my ass!!!
I farted…and a little bit of shit came out.
The fact that you put Boogie Nights and 54 in the same sentence makes me wonder if you only found AV Club through searching for interviews of your favorite comedian, Gallagher.
I liked the way that show was shot. It looked cheap as fuck, like it was filmed in a basement and if anyone yanked too hard on the front door, the whole set would come down. It was like watching a play, which in turn reminded me of a lot of the '70s British sitcoms and Norman Lear sitcoms. Also liked how LIVE the…
The funny thing is, the way the entire family ragged on Bud on the show as a short, ugly kid who wouldn't get laid foreshadowed Faustino's limited post-Married career.
Could've made a cool miniseries. Don't get why they don't do that kind of thing more.
bkbroiler - I'm sure he'd agree with you (until he saw Scott Shriner's bank account).
I wish Robert Sledge had gotten that job. As the bassist, not the gay king.
Jamie is a very good song, especially for a B-side, just has some shitty production since it was done by some kid at Loyola Marymount for a class. I like Mykel and Carli, and actually, that was written before their deaths. I agree they're not good enough to be on the albums, but that's why they weren't on the album.…
I hated Green album at the time, but in retrospect, it's kind of a cool album. It's just so tight and poppy and perfected. You can see him in the studio at a piano, unshaven and sleep-deprived throwing away pieces of paper and re-recording all of the parts himself, singing all the parts, etc. It's like something Brian…
I kinda don't hate the Ryan Adams song. This is the least offensive album musically in a long while, but lyrically, it's still horrendous. He needs to go back to the nonsensical lyrics he was churning out in the early 00s.
I kind of think the rarities and demos will be the only stuff worth buying. If those Alone records have done nothing else, they've proven that he, like most prolific songwriters, Rivers is a terrible judge of his own material.
