Nicely said, Zack.

I don't want to clutter up this comment section with thanks to all of you who said such kind things below. (I'm trying to "like" all of them. That insufficiently conveys how much it means to me, but there it is.) I've always had a congenial relationship in the comment section with you readers, which I've appreciated a

Donna will still be writing about Breaking Bad, Modern Family and HIMYM, and will still be part of the TV Club Roundtable. She already has a full-time job (she writes about TV more as a hobby), so she won't be following me to the new gig. We shall, however, remain married.

I can't officially say yet, but it's the former.

Apologies for posting this so late in the day (and late in the thread), but some of you have been contacting me privately and speculating publicly about whether I'm still writing for The A.V. Club. The short answer is: Yes. But I don't want to give you the wrong impression. I've always been just a freelancer here,

Thanks, Trill! Can't say yet what the next thing will be, buy I should be able to soon.

No sweat, GX.

They aren't ads. When Scott was editor, he'd pick the movie that would set the theme, and we'd pitch movies to go with it — all independent of advertisers. I presume that this method will continue.

Galán says so on the commentary track.

I'll be covering that next time out.

In the words of another WWII alternate history, that's a bingo.

Thank you much. You are exceedingly kind.

Thank you, Miller. But the column is ending by my choice. Seemed about the right time. I've got some other things I want to do. I did really love writing these though, and appreciate that they were so well-received.

Just curious what everybody else thinks. I'm having trouble getting a read on Boyd in that regard. My suspicion is that just as with his evangelical phase, his white supremacist phase was just an angle he was playing.

Thanks, LK! (Yes, that's me in the LAT. The only other Noel Murrays out there that I know of are a rugby player and an accountant. At least those are the only ones I get Google Alerts for.)

I don't see the previews. I get a digital screener from FX.

Oooh, nice catch on "Theo."

No, they were just getting back from Arlo's when Drew said that to Rachel. (Though I'm sure the sound of the train played a role too.)

It looks like my friend Myles McNutt (if I'm reading his Twitter feed right) may have picked up on something about this episode that I completely missed: Bob hears "Love Train" while getting beat bloody, and then comes up with the plan to send Drew out of Harlan on a train. The song choice matters more than I'd

Highly unlikely, sorry to say. But no decision on dropping the reviews has been made yet. There's a chance someone else will want to do it after the move to Saturday.
