So many to choose from. I would say any of the boys or girls in "Salo", but if I had to choose just one, I would say the girl in the bathtub full of shit who exclaims "God, why you have abandoned us?"

Maybe "geeky" was the wrong word. "Dorky"?

Thanks to your geeky reference, I have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

Speaking of inane chatter, how about alll those contrived, gimmicky (to the point of unwatchable) episodes of "Seinfeld" from season 4 on?

Oh you are so kind.

Seasons 1-3 "Seinfeld," arguably. After that, no. There are other better shows on now than "Seinfeld" seasons 4-9.

I don't read a lot of these "Seinfeld" recaps. Does the reviewer ever acknowledge that "Seinfeld" went into a long, conspicuous decline after they wrapped up the George-and-Jerry-write-a-show-for-NBC plot arc?

A Gentle Woman is one of his best films, IMO.

Yes, I was disappointed that this "primer" began with such a flagrantly bullshit quote. I've seen several Bresson films, and he is good, sometimes great (as with "Au Hasard Balthasar" and one or two others), but hardly the pinnacle of filmmaking.

I've seen The Rules of the Game three times now, and I will never understand why it's so widely and highly revered as it is. L'Atalante is indeed far superior.

Van Halen always has been, and always will be, for kids.

Ugh. "Mrs Miniver". What utter garbage. One of the worst Best Pictures (and I've seen 'em all).

One of the best episodes ever didn't have a cold open - "The Dundies". Did anyone ever complain? No.

I used to like Darryl, but they've been making him lame, too, like most of the rest of the characters. He had a line in this episode exonerating Jim that was just awful, and out of character for season 1-5 Darryl (the one that we all came to love).

First! (6 years later).

That was quite helpful, thank you.

His DFW adaptation was pretty good, though.

Look, asshole. I don't need to be condescended to. You weren't too subtle before: it's just that if you really believe that drugs are great, and espouse them in public, then do drrugs. Don't go saying that drugs are great if you're not prepared to answer why you're no longer doing them. It's that simple.

Because his entire routine is about how drugs are great - and he can't come up with a good reason why he's stopped doing them, even casually. So there! He comes off like a poseur all of a sudden.

No, it isn't.
