There used to be a way to stick it to the Man. It was called rock 'n roll…

And didn't Crispin Glover already do the soot-covered thing?

It's worth checking out for Traci Lords' hairstyle alone.

Hate to be "that guy", but…
The actor's name is David Gulpilil… easy mistake to make though. "Rabbit-Proof Fence" FTW!

Drink! Drink!
Glad to hear he's gone back to the singing. They really should have hired him for more musicals after "Captain Invincible"… but this sounds like it could be fantastically good fun too.

Stephen Baldwin
Nothing to do with computer games, I just want there to be a Newswire about Stevie B entering the Celebrity Big Brother house over here in the UK, so we can all make fun of him… because that's the grown-up thing to do when preachy, humourless dicks are given a media platform like this, dammit.

And a Mediocre New Year to all you pesky kids, with the bones through your noses, drinking your bottled water like it means something!

Even if the judges do vote in his favour, Linnell must not be allowed to collect the award until he has completed all 50 state songs.

Not only, but especially for the ladies…
Mono Puff!

Comment, verb
Sounds like the sort of thing I'd want to watch, but it won't come within a hundred miles of my town. I can't blame my local cinema for stopping their weekly foreign/indie film "specials", as there were often only four or five of us turning up to buy tickets, but I do miss them.

Maybe I'm weird but there are plenty of older actresses I'd like to see bed-hopping, preferably with a man my age… Jennifer Saunders, Celia Imrie, Jennifer Tilly, Isabelle Huppert*, Fanny Ardant, Catherine Deneuve, Rosanna Arquette… all over 50, but still very attractive and engaging.

Good reason for "It's Complicated" to exist…
The longer Meryl Streep stays in work, the longer Jennifer Saunders stays in work. QED.

Bag o' shite!

Sidebottom!
Frank Sidebottom used to crop up on kid's TV shows many years ago, and I could never quite figure out what the deal was. Where did he come from? Why was he considered suitable entertainment for children? His act is very sweet and good-natured, but there's something very freaky about the voice and the fake

To Die For
Love that film… and the original book it was based on is pretty good too. Every one is great in that cast, but especially Illeana Douglas as the bereaved sister… and for a first-timer, I though Alison Folland was very funny too.

Singing Wrestlers
Overall a very bad idea, but Amy "Lita" Dumas has a pretty good band called The Luchagors… maybe not "essential", but a lot better than anything on the list above!

So, would "Zombie Squisher" be better?

Terrible news, and terrible timing. If it isn't true she's going to have a hell of a weird week.

I'm not sure Edgar Wright went to a proper film school, as such… do we even have proper film schools here in Blighty? On the "Hot Fuzz" DVD there's an early film of his called "Dead Wright" which he filmed in his holidays from an Art Institute on a camera he won in a TV competition… the writing and acting is as corny

The plot is either a really clever meta-dissection of the creative process, or really, really stupid and lame. But there's no ambiguity of interpetation when it comes to Ludivine Sagnier. She is EMPILE!
