Licky, that was never fully explained (whether she was somehow adopted or actually Gallifreyan or even a full Time Lord). When the show was started, the Doctor wasn't even an alien; that was (as befitting Who) sort of made up as they went along. I think it's generally assumed, however (since the Doctor has made claims

My guess is he got extra regenerations in the Time War (same as the Master), but I would LOVE to see the Doctor's obtaining of more regenerations somehow tied up with bringing back Gallifrey.

I loved all the PARTS, but it was a little cacophonous as a whole.

(possible minor spoiler?)

I heard Robert Carlyle's name bandied about, but nobody so old as Bill Nighy (who, in my head, will always be "the science guy-y"). For a younger guy, I would have preferred James McAvoy.

Fuck.
I'm moving tomorrow, and the television is already packed and gone on the truck. You mean I could be spending my day watching Who while I did household chores?
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK.

I'll give you that the Davies show is more interested the emotions (the showing and the having) of its characters than most original Who, but I would debate a little whether that's a bad thing and also whether it's a bigger change than many other alterations the show has undergone from Doctor to Doctor and show head

Makes you kind miss the occasional murder mystery episode or political intrigue of the old series, doesn't it?

I liked Eccleston, but I don't think I'd call him hot.

Partners in Crime and Midnight were great (definitely up there in the better episodes and certainly in Davies' top 5). I dug Gridlock too. But it's hard to forget episodes like Love & Monsters. Davies episodes always sound great as synopses, but the execution (and especially the ending) have a tendency to leave me

That's because Davies wrote those.

I am beyond indebted to Davies for bringing back Who better than ever with some of its best casting, but
(with some exceptions) his episodes were regularly the least interesting. I have my doubts about the new Doctor (how avuncular can a 26 year old be?), but I can't wait for Moffat to take over the show.

At the very least, Busy Busy, you set a few of those 8th graders on the path to proper pitty sining on a variety of quality runny kines.

We're almost to the part of where I start to whistle.
Then we'll watch "It's Garry Shandling's Show."

I'm almost halfway done.
How do you like it so far?

Garry called me up last night
and asked me to write his DVD announcement.

Aqualad should know. He is, after all, the sidekick of the guy who can talk to fish.

Shit, I don't know what I was thinking about Lee . . . I have no excuse. Maybe I didn't notice the fucking title of the article said "artists" ? I plead brain fart.

Stan Lee
If he's too much of an asshole to be on this list (despite being mentioned in several entries), then how did McFarlane get on?

This news story is like something out of that twilighty show about that zone.
But it's worth it if I get to watch DiCaprio get chased by Nazis and the KKK.
