Agreed.  Especially since some of those comments are pointing the newbies to plot points that revolve around the books.  As the show has demonstrated, they are going to play around a bit with the story and characters so these book-based hints may cause more confusion for those who stick to the show version.

I understand not wanting to have a character whose nose had been removed on screen that much but I guess they could have done a Voldemort on him (flat/almost nonexistent nose)  which would have probably given the needed visual context.

I always saw Shireen and Patchface as just being examples of how arbitrary fate can be even to the powerful and talented. .

I think the show has done alright at showing that Theon's a tool…he was all to eager to start killing the baby direwolves, he threatens/harasses Osha once she's a prisoner, his contempt and treatment to the captain's daughter and his greaterly overinflated sense of value/worth.

One thing to remember is that Bronn helped take Tyrion prisoner at the inn.  He shifted his support at the Eyrie because of the financial gain.  It basically says that Bronn's sole interest/concern is Bronn which is not what you want in someone who is effectively your personal champion/bodyguard.

If you cut the sex scenes out of the earlier books it would reduce the page content by about 1/4.  So, I think the answer is "yes".

Well, if Tyrion was looking for Bronn to have integrity he should have remembered that Bronn initially did help take him prisoner before later serving as his stand in for the fight.
