Unless you're really more into collecting, and your Firefly swag

Can I just say, for the record, how proud I am to be the first asshole to bring up the old "DS9 vs. B5" argument?

Haven't watched the show in ages (except for an episode or two when I was dead drunk, a few months ago), but I always loved the theme song. I also liked Enterprise's, at least at first.

Oh, man…I've really been into DS9 lately. If I end up enjoying B5 half as much, I'll be thrilled.

Yes — the Real Ghostbusters. That, and the fact that Xander on Buffy was apparently enough of a fan to have collected B5 commemorative plates (see season 5), were the reasons I finally gave this show a real chance.

Only thing I really liked about the B5 episodes I've seen: there are machine guns mounted on the exterior of the station. All those sequences look horrible now, since, as I understand it, there were some odd compromises made with the widescreen filming (B5 was widescreen before most shows), but still: machine guns, on

Just going by the first season: everything of any importance gets repeated a hundred times. For a "smart" show, it certainly seemed to think very little of its audience.
