I watched the whole first season five or six years ago on Hulu. Ugh. I think part of the reason I've been enjoying DS9 lately is that it compares so well to this.

Did I imagine this — a scene where Odo says he's borrowed O'Brien's copy of Mickey Spillane? Hmmm. Granted, I, the Jury might be more thematically consistent with an episode called "Playing God" — and of course it's already been established that both Sherlock Holmes and Dixon Hill (Sam Spade, more or less?) are well…

In NYC DS9 mostly aired after TNG, which was fine. Then Voyager premiered, and the shows were actually aired against each other on Mondays. Brilliant.

We stuck with DS9 until First Contact came out, then jumped ship (er, station). My brother didn't want to have to see "those Deep Space Nine fuckers" in the new uniforms.

Absolutely not. Also, I really liked the wardrobe girl (with the gun-metal tie in the Christmas episode, who showed up on Sorkin's other series), who's probably not everyone's cup of tea.

Natalie…Rebecca…the porn star Jeremy doesn't go to bed with in season 2. Am I missing anyone?

Makes for a pretty perfect ending to the first season, though.

I hate this theory, because I'm sure it's absolutely right. Really curious how I'll respond to the Newsroom.
